Revamping Amateur Competitions With Circuito Tormenta

  • by João "Wlfz" Cício

At Inygon, we've always placed a lot of importance on amateur competitions, as one of our main objectives is to promote esports as actual sports, which includes growing the player base to feed the upper competitive echelons, especially in an exporting region such as our own.

Last year, in partnership with GGTech, we remodelled the WGR LPLOL 2nd division into the Circuito Tormenta, providing our local players not only with a new second division, now called Liga Promessa (Promise League) but also with new tournaments that opened an opportunity for new aspiring players to prove themselves, and to either earn their place amongst the top or to be drafted into more competitive teams. This work is fundamental for the success of professional competitions, with many players having already walked this path into the more professional levels.

This year, we're not continuing the path of Circuito Tormenta while also adding new sports into it, namely Valorant and Wild Rift, Riot Games' new FPS and mobile games!

We hope that with this, we keep giving all our local players opportunities to further develop their skills, or to just have fun with their friends while playing their favourite games, while paving the way for a professional and competitive scenario in both Valorant and Wild Rift, and of course, League of Legends!

Broadcasting the LEC to the Portuguese Audience

  • by João "Wlfz" Cício

Last year, we took a historic step with the broadcast of the LEC (League of Legends European Championship) in the Portuguese language, although with some limitations. This year, we're very proud to announce that we'll also be broadcasting the LEC in our native language, but this time, in its entirety!

No doubt, this was an important step for Inygon. Not only it was the broadcast of one of the most-watched esports competitions, but it was also an opportunity to tap a new audience in another country, namely Brazil, for which we brought new talent to our rosters, such as Leticia Motta and Nicolas Emerenciano. This time, with Leticia and Nicolas now heading to Valorant in Brazil, we'll also be bringing new talent, Pedro Prata and Ken Harusame, which will join our Portuguese casters, Guerreiro and Kevin, and also three other new faces: Alexandre, Rafael and Ana as the host!

Getting to work hand in hand with the LEC team also gives us an exciting opportunity to work with some of the most talented people in this industry and to learn from them. So,  In addition to the talent roster update, we'll be bringing some new developments, as we did for WGR LPLOL, to improve the experience of our viewers.

The LEC will start on the 22nd of January and will be broadcasted at https://twitch.tv/InygonTV1. Stay tuned!

Rebranding the Portuguese ERL

  • by João "Wlfz" Cício

This season will be the 7th for the Portuguese League of League of Legends (LPLOL), the official European Regional League (ERL) for Portugal. For this particular season, we prepared a new image for the League and we've decided to shorten the competition in two months, remove "extra cups" from its competitive circuit, but keep the "Grand Final" and the league total prize pool in the 50.000€, the same of its previous edition.

Year after year, the LPLOL has been enjoying steady growth in all its aspects, namely in players, audience and prize pool. Its role in the European scenario is well established as an exporting league. True, it is, and it will hardly be as important as major ERL's such as Germany, France, Spain or UK, but its connection through exported players keeps flourishing. For this year, we decided to "lighten" the competitive calendar, to provide teams and players more time to explore outside opportunities, while keeping the prize pool, to increase the reward during regular Splits. The "Grand Final" now scheduled for the end of September, will act as a final competitive moment and mark the closure of the season, while allowing us to still coronate the best team of the season, besides the best team of the regular Splits.

So, after this, how will the LPLOL work this year? Quite simply, with three competitive moments: Spring Split, Summer Split and Grand Final. The Spring and Summer Split, also known as the Regular Splits, will occupy approximately 3 months of competitive matches, from January to March, and June to August. Lastly, the Grand Final will take place at the end of September, providing the last two weeks of matches. This will give the community, teams and players about 9 months of the competitive season, with plenty of opportunities to develop and prove themselves. Keep in mind that after the Regular Splits, there will always be the highly expected European Master participation for the two best teams of each Split, extending their competitive calendar to a possible extra month.

As for the design change, we believed it was time that LPLOL got its own identity. For the past 5 seasons, LPLOL image has been designed around its partners, instead of itself. But the LPLOL has grown into something more than a competition. It grew League of Legends as a sport, providing a career path to players and staff, developing local heroes, entertaining the fans and providing brands with a new place to present themselves to the community. And so, it was time to have its own image and brand. Of course, we're very thankful for the support our partners have given us over these years and also in this important step. Just for curiosity, some of them have been supporting the League for now 5 seasons!

As for the broadcast, we have some new surprises and developments in store! Due to the COVID-19 situation, the studio will be off-limits, at least for the Spring Split, but that won't stop us from adding new additions to the 100% remote broadcast and to bring the players and the fans closer together. Stay tuned!

We're really looking forward to the new season of the WGR LPLOL and what surprises it will bring!

The WGR LPLOL will start on the 25th of January and you can watch it live at https://twitch.tv/InygonTV1! For more information, check out the WGR LPLOL website at https://lplol.pt!

Welcome To Our New Website

  • by João "Wlfz" Cício

In 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic swept across the world and brought about changes that affected almost every business and the way people work. Inygon was no exception, and even though our work and broadcasts never stopped, we had to adapt and adjust to the new reality. As a result, we developed new tools and software that helped us run broadcasts and work more efficiently, ultimately enhancing our ability to serve our clients.

One of the most significant products of this process was our new website. After a long period of neglect, we decided to revamp our web page, and before the end of 2020, we launched our new look. Our website is now updated with a lot more information about our work and who we are, as well as links to our most important projects. Although some information before 2020 may be lost, we will make every effort to retrieve it.

We are thrilled to present our new look, and we invite you to explore it and learn more about our services in the gaming, esports, and live streaming industries. If you have any questions or want to learn more, don't hesitate to reach out to us.
